About the Designer

Hi! 👋🏻

My name is Roxie Schnoor and I am a Frontend Developer and UX/UI designer currently residing in sunny California. I started my development and design journey in the early days of myspace and internet blogs, where creativity and individuality was encouraged through the use of basic frontend languages, like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Wanting to grow my coding skills past the basics, I enrolled in the General Assembly Software Engineering Bootcamp where I expanded not only my frontend development skills with React, but learned essential backend frameworks and languages to broaden my capabilities as a fullstack developer. These included: Node.js, Express, MongoDB, Python, Django, and PostgreSQL.

After working in my first developer role outside of the bootcamp where I was able to focus more on frontend development, I also found a passion for UX/UI Design as I was placed in the role of designer for a lot of the emails and landing pages for the company. I spent time outside of this role learning about user-centered design and how to apply best practices through Figma wireframing and prototyping.

When I'm not coding or designing, I like to spend my time with my two border collies or enjoying some of my hobbies, such as: journaling, vlogging, karaoke, and gaming.
